About
Okay. I admint it. I’m a bit of a techie.
I really like playing with computers. So does my husband. And so do my kids. Electronic parts and pieces have been part of the decor in our house for years now.
We got started in the late 70s with the early versions of electronic games. Does anyone remember Pong?
In the 80s we had the “new” home computers. You’d laugh if I dug out the specifications for those early computers. Your digital watch probably has more computing power.
I’ve lost track of how many computers we have had since then. Dozens! Even now that the kids are grown and gone, we still have half a dozen computers around the house – networked of course.
Needless to say, we have become the “go to” source for family and friends when they finally got their own computers.
I got involved with the internet in the mid 90s – a year a so before it became public/commercial and before the world wide web was invented. It has been amazing to watch the growth and changes that have taken place in an incredibaly short time. Just the educational, business, and social aspects of the web have rapidly surpassed any futurist’s predictions. We are living in SciFi.
The web has grown so fast and open up so many opportunities for new business that many people find it a bit intimidating. Heck, some days I find it a bit intimidating!
So here are my thoughts, tips, tricks, research, product reviews, and a few rants on building a website. There’s even some basic computer training. If you didn’t get your computer until this century and want your own website, this is the place for you.
